Donald S. Gervais, Jr., M.D., FAAN | Board Certified Neurologist

 

​Dr. Gervais joined Southeast Neuroscience Center (SNC) in 2000. He became board certified the same year with the American Academy of Psychiatry & Neurology and specializes in general neurology with subspecialties in EMG and Botox Injections.

 

He was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where he attended Holy Cross High School and continued on to Tulane University for his double degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in French (cum laude).

He entered Louisiana State University Medical School from which he received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995 and was elected to the prestigious medical honor society, AOA.

 

Dr. Gervais’ postgraduate training, at Louisiana State University Medical Center and Hospital Bicetre in Paris, included an internship in medicine, a residency in neurology, and a fellowship in neurophysiology and neuromuscular disease.

He has been active in various clinical trials for the past few years and was invited by Allergan Inc., maker of Botox, to help develop new teaching tools for doctors around the United States.

 

He serves as Medical Director of the Research and Development division of Southeast Neuroscience Center. He and his physician/wife reside in Houma.

Edward S. Haight, M.D. | Board Certified Neurologist

 

 

Dr. Haight was born in Decatur, Georgia but was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Baton Rouge High School and Louisiana State University where he earned a degree in Zoology.

 

He held a position for two years as a Biologist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries until he entered LSU Medical School.

 

Dr. Haight received his Doctor of Medicine in 1996.  Following his residency in Neurology in which he earned the distinction of “chief resident” and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, both at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, Dr. Haight joined the team of physicians at SNC in 2001. He received certification by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2003.

 

Dr. Haight has participated in numerous clinical trials for the past few years. He serves as Medical Director of Southeast Neuroscience Center’s Infusion Center and is the primary physician in our Thibodaux office.

 

He is married to Maria Braud, M.D., a Psychiatrist, and resides in Thibodaux, LA.

Lisa S. Thibodeaux, M.D. | Board Certified Neurologist 

Dr. Thibodeaux is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and resides in Metairie with her husband, Arthur Thibodeaux, Jr. and their children.

She completed her higher educational training, from her undergraduate degree throughout her medical training, within the LSU system. 

 

In December of 1997 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She entered LSU Medical School in 1999, earned her medical degree in 2003, and has remained with the LSU Health Science System for her post-graduate training in Neurology.

During her residency, she attained the distinction as “chief resident” from 2006-2007.

Dr. Thibodeaux has recently completed her fellowship at the LSU Health Sciences Center on Neuromuscular Disorders and Clinical Neurophysiology in EMG.

She currently holds memberships in the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association.

She became board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2009.

 

She joined the Neurology staff of Southeast Neuroscience Center on August 18, 2008.

Wendy S. Gervais, M.D. |  Board Certified Radiologist, Board Certified Pediatrics

 

 

​Dr. Wendy Suddeth Gervais is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology as well as General Pediatrics.  Dr. Gervais is current in all areas of Radiology and has attended specialty training for MRI and orthopedic sports medicine.
